“To be a community of Christ’s disciples and the presence of Christ to our neighbors.”

Connecting in the time of COVID19

What a long strange trip it has been! While COVID is not yet fully behind us, it is so encouraging to see the progress being made. Throughout the pandemic, we have shaped our church guidelines in accordance with public health recommendations. Given the new recommendations from the CDC and Michigan DHHS, the following updated guidelines are effective immediately:

Masks are optional for fully vaccinated individuals and those medically unable to wear a mask at all indoor gatherings, including Sunday worship.

Masks are optional for all individuals at outdoor gatherings, including outdoor worship and the “Summer Connections” Wednesday night gatherings.

Masks will become optional for all people at indoor gatherings on July 1st when the state mask guidelines are set to expire.

This season has been a challenging time for building and sustaining Christian community. While we have found some new ways to connect, there are no virtual options that fully replace the experience of being gathered in one place as the Body of Christ. If you have not yet been back to in-person gatherings, you are missed! If you are not yet ready to attend indoor gatherings, we would love to encourage you to gather together at outdoor worship (1st and 3rd Sundays of each month beginning June 6) and Summer Connections (2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month beginning next week, May 26).

Please join us this Sunday at 10 am here at Michigan St. and Lakeside Dr. If you are not yet comfortable with or are unable to attend in-person worship, you can worship with us live as it is happening or at a more convenient time on the Third Reformed YouTube Channel. As soon as worship ends in the sanctuary, the live-streamed video will be archived and available to watch at any time.

Third Reformed Church is committed to being a community of Christ’s disciples and the presence of Christ to our neighbors, seeking transformation and growing together in our ability to live and love like Jesus.

If you are longing for that kind of transformation, we would love to be partners in the journey!
