Sunday Mornings

Sunday Morning Service begins at 10 am with a time for fellowship following immediately after. At 11:30 there is a 45 minute “second hour” time which could include discussions on the morning sermon, a class on scripture or theology, a visiting speaker on issues impact our community, or a member sharing their faith story. There are opportunities for all ages during second hour.Community life at Third seeks to provide spaces where people can engage in playful and relaxing settings to share a meal and share life. Check out the church calendar or reach out to office to learn about upcoming events hosted at the church building, in member's homes, or throughout the community.

What To Expect

Over the years, many people have commented about what a “friendly and welcoming” church Third Reformed is. We certainly hope that is your experience. Whether you’re looking for a new church home or simply visiting, we value your presence with us!

Who Is Welcome

Third Reformed Church celebrates the gospel of Jesus as the way God moves people from exclusion to embrace by grace through faith. As a gospel community we are fully inclusive of all people who seek to know, love, and follow Jesus in a life of faith regardless of race, class, gender identity, marital status, or sexual orientation.

Worship Style

Worship at Third takes an informal and flexible approach to classic Reformed liturgy. We encourage participation in all the parts of worship as we approach God, hear from God’s word, and respond with our lives. Messages seek to connect the timeless message of scripture to the context of our lives. The desire to draw from different traditions is reflected in our music as well. On any given week you might experience hymns led by organ, newer worship music led by the band, songs from the global church, adult, children, or bell choirs, or a soloist.

Communion

On the first Sunday of the month we partake in Communion. Anyone who seeks to know and follow Jesus is welcome at the Lord’s table. All communion bread is gluten-free and we use juice rather than wine.

Attire

Come as you are, and feel welcome!

Nursery

Parents of little children, please feel welcome!  We take great care with our nursery and a Little Lambsroom for the youngest among us.  And dont worry; we have a visual paging system if your child should need you during the Sunday morning service.

Children in Worship

Children are welcome at Third! To begin, we all join together as one large congregation. But early in the service, children ages four through third grade are called to the front of the sanctuary to share a blessing with the congregation as they go with their teachers to Children in Worship.

Fellowship Time

Following Sunday Morning service, please join us in the Fellowship Hall for coffee, tea, or punch, and cookies. We’d love to meet you and get to know you!

2nd HOUR SUNDAY SCHOOL and ADULT EDUCATION

Sunday school is also offered for all ages from the youngest to children in fourth grade through high school, mid-September to early June. A variety of Adult Education classes are offered as well, including monthly series, and guest speakers.
