Discipleship

Discipleship is the very heart of the Christian walk.  We are, like the original twelve disciples, walking in the footsteps of Jesus. This is never an easy task, and not one to be taken lightly.  We are dedicated to supporting each other through our discipleship ministry, as we walk and learn together.

At Third, we believe in growth, growing closer to God and closer to each other!  We offer many different classes for spiritual and community growth, including adult education after the Sunday worship service and many other opportunities throughout the week. Click below to learn more.

Education Classes

The mission of Adult Education is to further God’s kingdom by inspiring the spiritual growth of the adults of our congregation.  Adult Education classes are designed to engage adults in exploration of their faith.  The subject matter covers a wide variety of topics, including Christian living, in-depth study of Biblical passages, social issues, and current events.  Classes are led by pastors, lay leaders, missionaries, and guest speakers.  Classes are typically held in the lounge or Youth Room from 11:30 am – 12:15 pm following the worship service.

A message from our bible study leader: The foundation of Third’s Wednesday Morning Women’s Bible Study is Jesus, the Christ. Jesus is our gift from the Father. It is through Jesus we know the Holy Spirit. We focus on the truth that in obedience to the Father and because of His love for us Jesus chose the cross in order to redeem us and give us eternal life. Because of that great act of love, we are moved to study how He lived and how we are to live as sisters of Jesus and daughters of the Father. We are called to be servants and to glorify God. It is in our study that we connect as one in spirit, which sustains and strengthens us and gives us the confidence to move forward in His Name. Please come join us at 9:30 am on Wednesday morning. -Lisa
