ADULT PRAISE TEAM

Our Adult Praise Team presents contemporary music in the style of Matt Redman, the Gettys and many other musics in this style.  Singers are accompanied by an ensemble of piano, bass and drums.  The Adult Praise Team is open to all high school/college ages and adults interested in singing.  The Adult Praise Team presents 1 or 2 songs on a weekly basis at Sunday services.  All are welcome.  There is no audition.  While the ability to read music is helpful, it is not required. The Adult Praise Team meets on Wednesday nights, late-August through late-May from 5:30 – 6:15pm in the church sanctuary.

Youth Praise Team

Our Middle School and High School youth present music at Sunday services and special youth events throughout the year.  Youth ensembles are organized, rehearsed and prepared to present around these particular services and special events as they are scheduled.  The Youth Ministry staff plans with the Music Ministry staff to organize rehearsals and music selections for these services.  Special emphasis is placed on encouraging young persons who wish to present solos and group musical presentations to contact the Music Ministry staff to plan these types of musical presentations throughout the year, not just at special youth events

Handbell Choir

Our Handbell Choir is open to all high school/college ages and adults interested in ringing handbells. The Handbell Choir presents on one Sunday each month from September – May.

The ability to read music is necessary for participation in this ensemble. The Handbell Choir meets on Wednesday nights, late-August through late-May from 6:15 – 7pm in the church sanctuary.

Adult Choir

Our Adult Choir is open to all high school/college ages and adults interested in singing.  The choir normally presents 4 part choral music on a weekly basis at Sunday services.  The Adult Choir also presents for special services at Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.  All are welcome. Children’s Choir

Children (Age 3 through 4th Grade) meet every Sunday in the sanctuary from September through May for music.  Songs are selected to match the lessons the children are learning.  In addition, a wide variety of music is introduced.  Children are also taught to read music from the hymnal The Worshiping Church.  Instruments such as step bells, tambourines, wood blocks, finger cymbals, etc. are enjoyed by the children.  The children have the opportunity to sing throughout the year in worship.  They also sing with the Adult Choir for “Lessons and Carols” during the Christmas Season.
